Millutensil developed a VERY INNOVATIVE SOFTWARE for testing the moulds.

The operator can set a cycle and repeat it automatically multiple times.

The press will be equipped with a dedicated NEW SOFTWARE that enables operation in an automatic cycle for tasks such as making, automatic opening and closing movements, lapping or cycles for auxiliary cylinders.

For this purpose the press area must be completely closed and equipped with light curtains on the open sides (as tilting of upper platen and lower outdriving platen).

This automation allows the customer to optimize the adjustment process and automate functions that previously required a significant amount of time.

It ensures that the testing is carried out with sequential operations , enabling an effective and reliable final control test.

TYPES OF AUTOMATIC CYCLES:
The potential of the automatic cycles feature is extensive, but involve different interventions on the presses prior to running: the protection of the area through light or laser scanned fences, to oil cooling in case of intensive cycling. Below is a quick overview of some of the automatic cycling types once these interventions have been prepared:

  1. The cycle can be simulated automatically as in the production press, to test the sequence of movements that the mold would have during production, including the ascent, descent, exit, and entry of the auxiliary cylinders, as well as the rotation of the table in the case of a rotary table.
  2. Lapping involves a continuous sequence of opening and closing the mold to allow the mechanical slides inside the mold to move with abrasive pastes.
  3. Continuous cycle of the auxiliary cylinders with the mold tilted at 90°. The tilts are set to 90°, and the auxiliary cylinders are enabled automatically. In this case, the slides/auxiliary carts of the mold move as they do in horizontal production presses. This could be useful because the mechanics of the slide is stressed differently compared to the vertical position of a mold testing press.
  4. Sequence of movements of the press in automatic mode, which helps not to burden the operator with the sequence of movements. With a start command, the press autonomously tilts the mold, and with another command, it performs the movements for closing, returning the press to the desired position.

Additionally, cycles 1-2-3 have a self-learning diagnostic system, meaning that when a cyclic operation is set on a mold and the sequence is started in continuous automatic mode, the press learns the timing of the sequence. If it detects any anomalies during the automatic operation, everything stops, and a message is displayed on the screen indicating which movement of the mold is experiencing a problem/anomaly.
